In the aftermath and as I began my recovery, emotionally and physically, I was bemused when I was asked what my next challenge was going to be! My initial response was that I just wanted some semblance of normality, but hey I'm still alive...

and I realised that I needed to do something to celebrate that and continue to raise awareness.

I applied to join the legendary Coppafeel trek led by the inimitable Gi Fletcher - aka - Queen of the Castle and I had a myriad of emotions when I received a phone call offering me a place......

 

But, one of the hardest things I have had to come to terms with following my mastectomy, is the stark asymmetry that I’m faced with every day. 

 

However, it is an important part of my story now, so to embrace and mark this chapter, I have designed & made abstract pairs of earrings including a lotus link and a line, in various forms - raising funds for Coppafeel.
